Meet Our Staff

I am Bettina McGriggler, the Franchise Owner of SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio. I opened the agency in September of 2013. After 28 years in a variety of corporate positions in financial services, commercial printing and eCommerce, it was time for a change.

The answer to my calling had to be a “head-heart match,” a stable business opportunity with growth potential that also spoke to my heart by providing a valued community service. My grandparents and parents were community servants who volunteered in the church and with a variety of non-profit and civic-oriented organizations. That is the legacy I want to continue. SYNERGY HomeCare has made it possible for me to continue that tradition.

Since the agency opened in 2013, we have continued to grow and establish a solid reputation in Greater San Antonio for quality home care. Our caretakers and office staff are professional, experienced and deliver the highest quality of care. Our team is second to none and everyone plays a critical role in the success of our agency. I am also a family caretaker so I know first-hand how difficult the job can be for the caretaker and the family member who seeks to find caring support with a trusted provider. There is nothing more personal than opening your home to a perfect stranger and entrusting the care of your loved one to a non-family member. We take that trust seriously and know the job involves the entire agency team… doing our best work, in every home, every day.

My name is Ouima Richardson. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. I joined the team of Synergy HomeCare of Greater San Antonio in 2017; serving as the Client Care Manager.

I am an Army Nurse Veteran, with a background in Acute, Operative, Traumatic, Ophthalmic, and Orthopedic Nursing. I obtained a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, which afforded me the opportunity to plan, open, and manage multiple ambulatory surgical care clinics in the metro San Antonio Area.

I have extensive training and skills in the provision of exceptional quality care for all ages, staff and patient education, patient privacy/confidentiality, effective communication, elderly care, and most importantly compassion for clients and their families.

As a member of one of the leading home care agencies in the industry, it is my personal goal to provide you with an optimal home healthcare experience!

My name is Anita Atwood. I am the Office Manager/Alternate Administrator for SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio. I joined the agency when it opened in 2013 as the first employee and helped the owner obtain our state license, recruit our Care Team and clients, set up operations and prepare our facility for the grand opening.

I have worked in office management and staffing for 14 years, with 8 of those years in the private duty home care industry. My expertise includes team building, recruiting, staffing, operations, client management, employee retention, sales and marketing, employee training, community outreach and regulatory compliance.

Why did I choose a career in home care? I am passionate about helping the senior population develop trusted relationships with skilled caretakers enabling them to remain independent in their own home. Since we opened in 2013, SYNERGY HomeCare of Greater San Antonio has focused on building a stellar Care Team. Our Caregivers and CNAs are among the best in the industry and work diligently to take care of our valued clients. The office staff has a wealth of experience in providing the daily operational support and continuing education needed by our employees and clients.

I enjoy watching new employees start their jobs and continue to grow professionally and personally as they assist us in building and expanding our agency. Thanks to their efforts and the support of a top-tier office staff, we were awarded the Provider of Choice Award in 2017, 2018 and 2020, and the Employer of Choice Award in 2019 by Home Care Pulse.
